This is rock cut built by the Hoosac Tunnel and Wilmington Railroad in the 1920's. Sections 1 and 2 follow this old railroad bed which is why they are so (relatively) flat. Good luck Planet B, I bet you are getting your workout today with all this new snow. Stay warm, Sam.
